This version is for Unreal Engine 4.26.1-release.

Mutable 1.4

What's New:

  • Mutable has been updated to support Unreal Engine 4.26.
  • New Tool: Texture Cost Analyzer. Window that shows relevant information of the textures used in the customizable object instance.

  • New Tool: Tag explorer. This new tool allows to track all the tags of a Customizable Object (parents included) . It also shows which nodes use the same tags.

  • New Feature: Widget support for multilayer projectors in the in-game UI.

  • Added checks to prevent baking instances with incorrect special characters in their names.
  • Added option to force integer and bool parameters on a state.
  • Added functions to change to next or previous state as they appear on the UI.
  • Added in-game projector wireframes.
  • Added a new parameter in the style of the widgets to select the minimum size of an integer thumbnail.

Updated:

  • Enabled projectors for Android.
  • Now the editor can be used during the compilation.
  • Updated calls to deprecated methods.
  • Now all the nodes have a tooltip with relevant information about their functionality.
  • Removed Clip Morph mesh bounding box.
  • Improved projector gizmo movement with mouse.
  • Limited cylindrical projector modifications with gamepads. Now the can only modify in the X axis.
  • Removed deprecated property pointer types.
  • Removed deprecated methods.
  • Improved and expanded the projector blueprint interface. This change is compatible with existing blueprints, should not break previously saved node graphs.
  • Vertical pivoting of the camera is now aligned with the character.
  • Projector transformations can be canceled by pressing the button B of a controller.

Fixed:

  • Fixed skinning errors.
  • Fixed unnecessary copying of objects when iterating which actually generates a compile error on some platforms.
  • Now the played animation doesn't stop in instance tab when editing parameters.
  • Fixed cylindrical projector scale controls for mouse.
  • Fixed UI tooltip transitions from mouse to gamepad.
  • Fixed camera movement when zooming while moving mouse.
  • Fixed crash when converting skeletal meshes to mutable.
  • Fixed crash when clothing data is created from a baked instance.
  • Fixed crash when changing the skeletal mesh of a SkeletalMeshNode when the new mesh had less LODs than the old one.
  • Fixed projector buttons behaviour in the Customizable Object Instance parameters.
  • Fixed infinite loop while cooking child objects.
  • Fixed flickering effect when editing projector's gizmo.
  • Fixed D-pad navigation problems due to engine update to 4.26.
  • Fixed error with ParentMaterialNodes not showing the outdated warning if only the child materials need to be refreshed.
  • Fixed CustomizableObjectNodeStaticMesh marked as outdated every time the object is compiled.
  • Fixed case in the automatic generation of layout blocks where the UV where exactly 1.0.
  • Fixed packaging warnings.
  • Fixed duplicated texture analyzer button from the window tab of the Customizable Object Editor.
  • Fixed morph material drop-down menu. Now it refreshes automatically when the linked node changes.
  • Fixed a projector error that occurred when closing the PiE while editing a projector.
  • Fixed baked materials compilation error due to wrong texture sample type.
  • Fixed packaging error if mutable fails to create the MutableStreamData folder.
  • Fixed spontaneous crash when closing the PiE.

Village Demo

What's New:

  • New asset Amulet to illustrate vector and scalar parameters.

  • Now the character is undressed when modifying the body.
  • Created a first test for complex tags combinations.

Updated:

  • Added more sockets to relevant states.
  • Shoulder buttons now change the state when not editing projectors.
  • Added smooth transition between 3rd person camera and editing camera.
  • Now the benchmark camera makes a clean loop instead of ending abruptly.
  • Customizable trees have been simplified.

Fixed:

  • Fixed UI tooltip transition from controller to mouse.
  • Now the UI does not hijack developer input (Only for non-shipping builds).
  • Fixed weird bouncing movement when characters changed their animation.
  • Village level and About Mutable window can be accessed again with a controller.
  • Fixed textures for Android due to dynamic lights.
  • Fixed iOS crash when editing characters at infinite level.
  • Fixed broken tree physics assets that gave camera occlusion problems.
  • Fixed Amulet which could be seen through some clothes.

Cyborg Demo

What's New:

  • Added aged texture variations to Jacket_C.
  • Added multilayer projectors.

  • Cyborg T-shirt color parameters converted to Enums.
  • Shoulder buttons now change the state when not editing projectors.

  • Modified UI thumbnails for the T-shirt.

  • Fixed Cyborg hair color error for Switch due to scene lighting.
  • Fixed Jacked_C which changed its color as the value of the aged parameter increased.
